Thumbs up Xfire

Anyone else use this? Xfire is basically a messenger service made for gamers. Keep it running in the background and when you play GuildWars, CS, or virtually any other game and it will show others what game you're playing and, if it's multiplayer-compatible, will allow them to join you with a few clicks.

It works really well especially with CS, because anyone who play's CS knows Steam's Friend's is the crap.

I also post this here hoping to spread this, and get many GW players to use this so that when GW hits release GW can pass WoW for the most time played in each day. If you go to the site you can view your stats (how much u played of each game - total and per week) and on the front page they also have "Today's Top Games" which is what I was talking about a few sentences back.

You can see in my signiture you can use a "miniprofile" to show off your geekyness and brag about who's played the most

Anyways I'm just posting this to help spread a really awesome messenger program made for gamers.

I've only heard of Xfire recently, as Yahoo is bringing them to court for patent infringement. Those covering the issue believe Yahoo may attempt to buyout the startup company.

Since BBF as a whole is pretty huge (or at least most) of our members use Xfire as an easy way to keep in touch. It's a pretty solid program.

X-Fire rules! |D1E| has been using it since it's public release. Screw those haters at Yahoo. I hope they have to pay X-Fire's legal fees. My profile name is lordfu, if anyone cares.

Yahoo sued Xfire because they themselves have bought The All Seeing Eye and intend to incorporate it into Yahoo Messenger.

For those of you who dont know what Xfire is, its the gamers assistant (thats what i call it atleast) it lets you IM in game kinda, you can join friends servers via Xfire, you check out there game status all kinds of kewl stuff. The website for it is www.xfire.com

I've seen quite a lot of XFire sigs on these forums, XFire has been supporting GW all through the Beta times too.

To put your phpbb Xfire code in your sig. Code available from http://miniprofile.xfire.com, then just copy/paste it into your signature.

Edited cause Kelzar did. Most of the post remaining for fun informational purposes.

Default Support GW - Use Xfire

So how many of you guys use this great program called "Xfire"?

Check it out here

Currently GW appears to be in the fourth position. But if enough people get it and start using it while playing GW it just might go up. And it has a great ingame IM too
